First and foremost, the obvious choice is between Copper Conductors and Aluminum Conductors. Most jurisdictions will still permit aluminum conductors, so that the service conductor type can be either the copper or the aluminum one. Though, Aluminum requires great care in installation, and unfortunately will not be covered in this post. To be honest, while there might be some initial financial gain in using aluminum versus copper, it just not feasible in terms of all the trouble one will go through with aluminum – especially so being inexperienced. Furthermore, keep in mind, that in cold climates aluminum is ever so much more brittle and is that much more prone to breaking, therefore requiring the even more of the above mentioned extra care… The industry has moved away from aluminum, so stay with the times, and go for copper. WordPress setup. Please hold on while we get a hold of our local hydro provider to bury the electrical cable in order for us to begin our service rough-in installation. We seem to still have difficulty in posting the usual warning signs around our property, it seems the power outages in the area are frying our signs to just their outline borders. (ie. for some odd reason our images are not being properly served by our host or our theme plugin)
